How to market your blog
I was over @ Electronic Village and I saw this post (<--- click here)about how to market your blog and I thought I'd share. and while you're there, check out the post about the Black Blogger Rankings. If you're not on the list, just drop them a line and let them know you're out there. I'm currently ranked @ #317 out of 623. Not too bad, but I can do a lot better. Personal challenge there!! lol

I think I'm going to try and go straight down the list so I'll start with #1 and be persistent by posting consistently. I'm going to start posting on a schedule starting with at least once a week and working my way up from there.
Yeah, they all seem to be great strategies, but then some will only work IF all you do is blog and I don't blog all of the time. I blog when I feel inspired to do so; that keeps me original I believe. I have been plenty of blogs that offer little substance, so they took things too far in terms of bloggin' consistently. Bloggin' is one thing, but bloggin' about nothing is not another ya know.
I spend more of my time posting on other blogs honestly; that is what I really like.

I don't know (m)any Black bloggers that do this full-time. All of us are dealing with businesses, jobs, school, family or other things to bring in money. All of us came to blogging for different reasons from different points.
But, now that we have a blog ... isn't it a good idea for us to find ways to continuosly improve. For example, your blog has moved from BBR #229 to BBR #202 over the past month. That is a sign that your blog has more influence and readers and impact this month versus last month.
I think that the idea behind the marketing tips is to find other ways for us to grow our blogs. You don't have to change your blogging style or mission ... but, did you find even one of the tips that you can implement this month?

Sometimes you get worn out, or lose your passion. Honestly, how many Beyonce post can a girl deal with in a week.
But after a break you come back refreshed and ready to get the ball rolling again.

What's up! I agree, you can get worn out, even though I'm just writing my thoughts I can lose my passion. I get distracted so easily too!! blame it on the imaginary ADHD!! lol
